An auditory processing evaluation is a comprehensive, two part, multi-disciplinary evaluation. It is administered by a licensed educational audiologist and licensed speech/language pathologist. The battery of tests has been specifically designed to assess fundamental auditory input skills and identify areas of deficit that can lead to or be associated with difficulties in more complex auditory, language and learning abilities. An individualized report will include: test findings, a glossary of terminology, educational implications and recommendations that are specific to the profile the student exhibits. Recommendations are given for environmental modifications, compensatory strategies and remediation. Evaluation team members are available for a one hour follow-up meeting upon request.
