Instruction is provided for legally blind children or those who have a loss of functional vision ability in grades K-12 by NYS certified Vision teachers. Assessing the student's functional vision including print assessments, teaching efficient use of residual vision and/or Braille instruction are a few of the representative responsibilities.

This service is delivered as DIRECT or CONSULT service.  Please note: Any direct service should be accompanied by a minimum of 10 hours/year of CONSULT service.
